The Vietnamese Association for Computing, Engineering Technology, and Science (VACETS) is sponsoring the Fifth Vietnamese Technical International Conference VTIC 2003 "Multi-disciplinary Collaboration in Science and Technology" to be held at San Jose State University in San Jose, California, on August 15-16, 2003. This conference provides opportunities for participants to expose their works to other Vietnamese peers and students, to exchange ideas and to network. Students and young professionals, looking to expand their knowledge, explore career paths and network, are encouraged to attend. The organizing committee encourages collaboration and joint presentations from scientists, professionals, and students across scientific and technical disciplines.

Conference highlights are: (1) keynote and invited presentations from leaders in their respective fields, (2) day-long oral and poster presentations from engineers, scientists, and students in biomedical technologies, computer sciences, energy, environmental and social sciences, microelectronics and telecommunications, (3) panel discussions, workshops and exhibition geared toward students and young professionals, and (4) dinner banquet with guest speakers and entertainment.
