Conference Announcement

The Vietnamese Association for Computing, Engineering, Technology and Science is pleased to announce the third VACETS Technical International Conference, the VTIC2000. The conference will be held on August 4 and 5, 2000 at San Jose State University, San Jose, California, U.S.A.

This year's conference theme is "Technology and Industry: Beginning Of A New Era". The conference will concentrate on (but not limit to) the discussions of technologies that are believed to be global commercialized technologies for the new millennium.

VTIC2000 will provide an excellent opportunity for engineers, scientists, academia, students, VACETS members, and investors to meet for technology exchange, networking, friendships, and potential business partnerships. We would like to encourage the participation of professionals and students in all areas as well as the potential participation and cooperation of the start-up and/or high-tech companies.

San Jose is the nation's eleventh largest city and is located in Santa Clara County. Santa Clara Valley, "the Valley of the Heart's Delight", is the tenth largest growing area in the United States. It is also known as the Capital of Silicon Valley, which is the world's leader in innovation and advanced technology. San Jose is about 25 miles long, 10 miles wide, and approximately 45 miles southeast of San Francisco.
